Hannah Barbosa Cesnik

Hannah Barbosa Cesnik is an associate in Quinn Emanuel's New York office. She joined the firm in 2022.

Hannah focuses on intellectual property disputes, with deep experience in the art and antiquities market, where her work has spanned contract, copyright and trademark issues, concerns of fair use, fraud, and forgery, as well as ownership and provenance disputes. She also represents clients in trademark and copyright matters, with experience spanning retail, technology, fintech, and entertainment companies. Hannah's writing on art and cultural heritage has appeared in places like Slate and The American Scholar.

In addition to her IP practice, Hannah handles high-stakes contract disputes for Fortune 500 clients across industries such as energy, finance, and entertainment, as well as cross-border disputes through Quinn Emanuel's Brazil Practice, where she draws on her fluency in Portuguese, firsthand cultural knowledge, and dual citizenship to represent Brazilian parties.

Prior to joining Quinn Emanuel, Hannah attended Yale Law School, where she served as chief speechwriter for the Dean and worked directly with journalists and documentary filmmakers for Yale's Media and Freedom of Information Act Clinic. Before law school, she also worked at a family law practice in Michigan.
