Jonathan Kim is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s San Francisco office. He earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and joined the firm in 2025.
During law school, Jonathan externed for the Honorable Jennifer L. Hall of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, where he will return to clerk in Fall 2026. He also gained experience with the California Department of Justice’s Antitrust Section and the Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
At Penn Carey Law, Jonathan distinguished himself in advocacy, winning the Englert Cup Mock Trial Competition, earning Best Trial Brief and Outstanding Advocate honors at the South Texas Mock Trial Challenge, and receiving Best Brief at the Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court Competition, Western Region. He also served as Symposium Editor of the Journal of Law and Innovation, Vice President of Training for Penn Law’s Trial Team, and research assistant to Professors Herbert Hovenkamp, Polk Wagner, and Gideon Parchomovsky on antitrust and intellectual property law.
Jonathan graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, San Diego, with a B.A. in Political Science, where he received the Dr. Joseph Watson Provost Award for Exemplary Leadership and Community Service.
