Tishta Tandon is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s London office. Her practice focuses on international dispute settlement, particularly, commercial litigation and international arbitration. Prior to joining the firm, Tishta worked as an associate at a leading law firm in India. While there, she regularly advised companies on commercial and corporate disputes involving high stakes and appeared before Indian courts, company law tribunals, institutional and ad-hoc arbitral tribunals. She has assisted clients across a range of sectors including construction, energy, mining, private equity and banking. Specifically during Covid-19, Tishta was involved in pre-dispute advisory in relation to the implications of force majeure and material adverse change on the completion of a critical project in the renewable energy sector in India. Tishta has experience in arbitrations under the ICC Rules in the real estate, construction and cosmetic industry. She also has experience in matters of white-collar crime and regulatory investigations.
Tishta graduated from National Law University, Delhi as the second rank holder where she was also adjudged to be the best all round performer. Before joining the firm in 2023, she received her Master of Law (LLM) with first class honours from the University of Cambridge, specialising in commercial law. Tishta is also a regular participant of the Willem C. Vis Moot, having successfully competed and coached at the competition. In 2017, her team ranked the highest among 338 law schools that participated in the preliminary rounds of the competition in Vienna. Subsequently, Tishta has coached several teams that have qualified for the advanced rounds at the moot, including the team from NLU Delhi that was a semi-finalist in 2021.
