Qiqi Wei is an associate in Quinn Emanuel’s Shanghai office. Her practice focuses on cross-border disputes, including international arbitration, litigation, and government enforcement matters. She has extensive experience representing Chinese clients in complex cross-border disputes.

Prior to joining the firm, Qiqi worked as Counsel at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), where she supervised over 100 administered arbitrations under the HKIAC Administered Arbitration Rules and the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, and acted as appointing authority in ad hoc arbitrations. She also served as tribunal secretary in multiple complex HKIAC arbitrations. She has since represented clients as counsel in a number of international arbitration matters, drawing on her experience at HKIAC.

Qiqi has extensive experience across all phases of U.S. litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial. She has particular experience with issues that commonly arise in U.S. litigation involving Chinese parties, such as service of process, jurisdictional challenges, extraterritorial application of U.S. laws, judicial assistance, and cross-border discovery. She has also been actively involved in a number of significant matters led by the firm’s China offices.

Qiqi also has extensive experience advising clients on sensitive government enforcement and internal investigations, including matters involving the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

Qiqi previously served as a law clerk to Senior Judge Mark L. Wolf of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Qiqi is admitted to the New York bar, is a Solicitor of England and Wales, and has passed the PRC bar exam (does not hold an active license). She also has a background in environmental technology and holds several related patents.
